Zoya Pulse Collection, Fall 2008

Good afternoon, Dear Reader.

Pulse is one of two Zoya collections for Fall 2008, the other being Vibe. Pulse was described as metallic purple-based shades and Vibe as all plum and red cremes. Since I love strong shimmer polishes and purple is my favorite color, I had to go for all of Pulse and just got a few from Vibe. I'll show you the polishes I have from Vibe another day, and today I have all of Pulse for you.

This is a collection you may have seen already, as I've had it for a bit, but I hadn't taken the time to swatch them all and post the collection yet. When presented with a perfect sunny day without a cloud in the sky, I thought it would be a great opportunity to sit outside and do so. I really love all of these so ranking them would be a challenge. Just for giggles, I'll present them in reverse alphabetical order (we don't want to get into a rut!).

All are two coats over a base coat, photographed in direct sunlight while the polish was wet without a top coat. The application was good, although I did struggle with preventing bubbles with a few. Mind you, I was sitting in a strong constant breeze to swatch these, so that's not entirely attributable to the polishes. Even at that, once I brushed the bubbles away they stayed away, so it wasn't a real problem.

As I mentioned above, I really am impressed with each color. If forced to pick a favorite, it would be between Sloane and Rihana, I think, but all six of these will get use.

These are available directly from Zoya, and there are usually coupon codes floating around for Zoya. They're also available from sparkling*nails on ebay (linked on the right) for slightly less than Zoya's price, so if you've decided you "need" these, I'd price an order at both before pulling the trigger. If you get them from sparkling*nails, be sure to tell her Siobhan sent you - she takes good care of my readers.

There you have it, Dear Reader - Zoya's Pulse Collection for Fall 2008. love and naiil polish to you!
