Anna Sui Dolly Girl Nail Polish Sets

Happy Halloween, Dear Reader!

I'm not a huge Halloween person, or holiday person, for that matter, so I have something entirely unrelated to Halloween for you today. Today, we have the limited edition Anna Sui Dolly Girl nail polish sets.

These are available on Sasa, but I found them for a lot less in Singapore. Alas, the source in Singapore no longer has them.

There are two sets (conveniently named 01 and 02), and each consists of three downsized Anna Sui polishes, nail art decals, and a little doll house box for them. The polishes aren't too mini - they're 6ml rather than Anna Sui's usual 10 ml.

For today's manicure, I used two coats of 106 topped with one coat of 008, and my nails smell all Anna Sui rosy. It's the new rosy though, where it smells good rather than the overpowering scent of the older ones.

So I'm not Halloween-y today, but I have sparkly nails that smell like roses, so I couldn't complain if I wanted to...

Illamasqua Collide and Konad M61

I have another Nails of the Day for you today. I started with Illamasqua Collide, three coats.

I didn't like that I could still see through the tips of my nails, so I added the cow print pattern from Konad plate M61 to it in Konad Black Pearl.

Chanel Jade Rose & Jade

Good evening, Dear Reader!

I finally got around to using Chanel Jade Rose, and thought I'd show it to you even though it's not the latest and greatest. I've been wearing Chanel Jade since yesterday, and it's a polish so nice I'll publish it twice.

Jade Rose isn't terribly impressive on me. On very pale skin, it pretty much blends in. This is a finished manicure using three coats of Chanel Jade Rose.

I put on Chanel Jade yesterday with Nu Nails as a base and Diamont as a top coat, and it still in perfect shape. It's such a nice polish that I thought I'd show it to you once more. Here's Chanel Jade.

China Glaze Khrome Collection

Good afternoon, Dear Reader!

I had some sun today, so I swatched the China Glaze Khromes for you. Each is two coats over a base. I used Nubar Foundation for five, and Zoya Get Even for the one I did a full manicure with. Get Even dries way slower than the Khromes, so I got massive bubbles. It's a bad mix...

The Khromes really do look like metal, and they dry fast. I waited for them to dry before taking pictures.

There are a few variations of gold. This is 2030.

A little darker is Hi-Tek.

Darker still, more of a bronze, is Robotika.

Those are the Khromes. Completely unrelated to the rest of this is the fact that I'm a few days behind on answering comments - I've just been overloaded busy recently. I'm reading them as they come in, and will answer them this weekend.

Zoya Ultra Glitter Collection

Good afternoon, Dear Reader!

Today I have some swatches and a manicure with Zoya's Ultra Glitters. Their site says they give full coverage in two coats, I found that each took three.

I'll start with the manicure, which even after two coats of Diamont was gritty. This is Astra.

Astra was really hard to remove to do the swatches of the other two - way more difficult than the China Glaze glitters.

Zoya Winter Matte Velvet Collection

I just got Zoya's Winter Matte Velvets, and thought I'd show them to you. Each is two coats over one coat of Nubar Foundation (even thought they recommend no base cost).

Harlow is a magenta shimmer.

L'Oreal LaquiResist Supernova

Good morning, Dear Reader!

I took out an old favorite for you today: L'Oreal Supernova from the discontinued UK LaquiResist line. There are quite a few great colors in the LaquiResist line, but Supernova might just be my favorite.

It's a deep purple shimmer with lots of medium sized glitter. It's loaded with the old chemicals, but is so pretty it's worth it. This is two coats of Supernova.

Essie Bright Tights & Konad M13

Good morning, Dear Reader!

Today I did a Halloween Konadicure using Essie's Bright Tights as the base and Konad plate M13 with Black Pearl Konad Special Polish for the patterns. It's over the top, but definitely festive.

Since Bright Tights never got opaque enough for me, I used three coats over OPI Alpine Snow Matte.

It makes my retinas hurt a little bit. I added five different patterns from Konad plate M13, the Halloween one, to it.
