Sephora by OPI Chic Prints

Good morning, Dear Reader!

Thanks for all the great comments yesterday - I really appreciate them!  What I have for you today is Sephora by OPI's Chic Prints, which are nail covering marketed to be do-it-yourself Minx nails.  I got them yesterday and applied them to begin my intended week-long test run of them.

Sephora's description talks about heat being used to apply them, which made me think they'd be as durable as Minx, and I pictured using a hair dryer or something.  No, the heat comes into play when you rub the decal while it's on the backing before removing and applying it.  That's it.  It turns out these are little more than glorified decals, and I woke up to having nine of the ten already lifting off my nails in some spots.  I followed the directions very slowly and intentionally, so I don't think it's user error, I think these are just decals.

The result of my test is that I got a 12-hour manicure out of them, and they cost $15.  I'd use them again for a very special occasion, applying immediately before going out, and otherwise not.  They do look cool, which is why I'd wear them to something special and brief.  I took pictures of the geometric ones in sun and shade for you.

See why I'd use them again for something special?  I'm really disappointed that they fell apart so fast - I was eying them last night thinking that this is a manicure that would entertain me for a week.

That's the update for this morning, Dear Reader.  Until next time, love and nail polish to you!
