SpaRitual Cherish Collection for Spring 2009, Part II

Good morning, Dear Reader!

I'm sorry I left you hanging for the rest of these yesterday.  I just got busy, busy, busy, and before I knew it, the day was done, the polishes had not been swatched, and I had to let it go...  I'm sorry.

The good news is that I have them for you today!  I saved one that was my second favorite in the bottle for this round, but then had a happy surprise when swatching them and found that one less striking in the bottle is truly amazing on the nail.  I'll get straight to the pictures, all of them being three coats over a base under artificial light.  I'll show them to you in my reverse order of preference for the sake of tradition.

First up is Love, which is an almost-hot-pink jelly.  I say almost-hot-pink because it's bright, but it falls just shy of what I'd call hot pink.  It went on like a SpaRitual (beautifully), and is a great jelly, but it's up first because, as you know, I'm not wild about jellies on me due to the VNL issue.

Next up is the one that was, upon initial impression from the bottles,  my second favorite of the collection (second to Delight from Part I), which is Marvel.  Marvel is a deep, not-pink mauve, but the cool thing about it is that is has a great purple SpaRitual flash to it.  The SpaRitual flash is hard to capture with a camera, but you can get a little sense of it in the first picture on my ring and pinky  fingers, and in the second picture overall.

Last, I have my surprise favorite of this group, Revere.  Look at the bottle in the second picture - in the bottle, it looks like a mild orange with a gold shimmer, right?  Nice, but it's been done.  However, check out how it looks on the nail - this one has more of the SpaRitual glow than just about any polish I've seen from them - it absolutely emulates a golden glow.  Again, a camera does not fully capture the effect, but it's so strong in the polish that you can distinctly see it in the pictures - you'll just have to trust me that it's stronger in person.  If you click on the second picture and look at the large version of it, the detail will give you a better sense of it.  It's crazy.

As I mentioned in Part I, I get my SpaRituals from sparkling*nails on ebay.  I just did a search for them to give you the link, and I discovered that Delight and Adore from Part I have already sold out, but that all three of these are available as of when I'm posting this.  It looks like the SpaRitual Cherish Collection is going fast, so if you want them, you might want to go get them.  As for the two that are sold out, if you email sparklingnails@verizon.net, she might be able to reserve one for you to ship with anything else you buy now (saving money on you money on shipping).  The reason I'm so fond of and loyal to sparkling*nails is that I've been a customer of hers for years, and she's done things like hold on to orders for a week waiting for new things to come in so they can ship together, email me when she has cool stuff on the horizon in case I want to buy it, etc.  Her customer service is just beyond anything I've ever experienced, and certainly more than is reasonable to expect.  She actually wants to help people get cool polish.  The other nice thing, which I've taken advantage of more times than I care to count, is that she ships for free to the US & Canada for orders of $100 or more, and since she carries a ton of brands, it's really easy to hit the $100 mark.

Enough raving!  On to your daily reminder about Nubar!  Regulars, skip to your goodbye...
I'm going to keep reminding you of this for the next month, Dear Reader, just so no one misses out.  Don't forget that Nubar loves you, too!  Until March 31st, they have a coupon code that's good for 20% off orders of $50 or more on www.bynubar.com, and they have free shipping over $75 (after the coupon).  The code is nlphle2050, and it's here just in time for the release of their Coral and Cleopatra Collections, which just recently became available.  Also, they currently have Pasadena Purple, the color that was in the movie He's Just Not That Into You, which is selling like hotcakes, from what I'm told.  Have a good haul and enjoy a good break on the price!

That's what I have for you today, Dear Reader.  Until tomorrow, love and nail polish to you!
